The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine informed the head of the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” about suspicion of “encroachment on the territorial integrity of the country and complicity in the conduct of an aggressive war.”
According to the Telegram channel of the press center of the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the suspect from July 2014 to March 2015 was in the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, commanded militia units and coordinated their actions. Thus, they “violated the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
According to RIA Novosti, this is Dmitry Utkin. Presumably, in 2013, he went to Syria as part of another private military company, the Slavic Corps, and in 2014 began to command his own group of fighters, which was named PMC Wagner.
Recall that on July 29, 2020, 33 Russians from the Wagner PMC were detained in Belarus. They were accused of preparing riots before the presidential elections. Some of them had Ukrainian passports. The Ukrainian authorities requested their extradition, but the Wagnerites returned to Russia. Kiev claims that some of the detainees fought in the Donbass on the side of the DPR and LPR.
