The rise in prices in Russia is “a price to pay for the openness of the economy,” Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the expert council under the government of the Russian Federation.

According to him, according to TASS, the authorities see a rise in prices. “We understand that prices are going up. Our inflation is mainly imported, ”he stressed. And he assured: the government is trying to take measures to stabilize prices, but the situation is “difficult and unstable.”

We will remind, earlier in the State Duma said that the rise in food prices in Russia for some indicators reached 10% and more, and the cost of the traditional set “Olivier” is estimated at 15% more expensive than before.

Annual inflation in November reached 8.4%, the highest since January 2016. Rosstat informs that consumer prices were accelerated by a five-year record rise in prices for services – by 5.2%. Compared to October, when inflation exceeded 8%, the annual growth in consumer prices accelerated by 0.27 percentage points. However, in November, prices for services showed a sharp increase. By November 2020, their prices rose by 5.2%, which is the highest figure in five years.
