The Russian Orthodox Church appreciated the statement of Artemy Lebedev, who called the relics of Sergius of Radonezh “a box of dandruff”

The Russian Orthodox Church commented on the scandalous statement of the designer Artemy Lebedev about the relics of the saints.

A fashionable blogger wrote in his Telegram channel that “during their lifetime, all the saints were ordinary drunks and bosses of varying size,” and today they do not deserve any special respect, Ridus reports.

“What could be dumber than just contemplating the relics? Why are the corpses of Lenin, Kim Il Sung, Mao lying on display in the mausoleums? ” – the designer is perplexed. Lebedev is also outraged by the queues of believers who want to “kiss some box of Sergius of Radonezh’s dandruff.”

Vakhtang Kipshidze, deputy head of the Synodal Department of the Moscow Patriarchate for Church Relations with Society and the Media, noted that Lebedev humiliated the memory of St. Sergius of Radonezh with his words.

The representative of the Russian Orthodox Church also recalled the criminal liability for insulting the feelings of believers. In his opinion, Lebedev “has lost touch with the history of the country” and lives, mocking its culture. “I am convinced that what blogger Artemy Lebedev said is criminal and morally unacceptable. Lebedev, it seems to me, imagines that he exists outside the legal field of Russia, ”Kipshidze said in his Telegram channel.
