Rostov priest suspected of molesting adopted daughters

In the Rostov region, the rector of one of the rural churches was suspected of molesting adopted daughters.

According to “KP”, the abbot’s wife applied to the law enforcement agencies.

In 2010, the family adopted a 13-year-old girl, and in the following years, two more. The family was considered exemplary.

According to the woman, a few years ago the eldest of the adopted daughters complained to the mother about the priest’s harassment. Then the scandal remained in the family. But then, as the woman said, the middle daughter complained about her harassment, and then the youngest.

According to the source of the publication, a criminal case was initiated under the article “Depravity”.

In the Rostov diocese, they consider what is happening as a consequence of the conflict between the abbot and his wife. “Previously, it can only be said with regret that there is a serious conflict between him and his wife in the priest’s family, and, with no less regret, we can state that children who have become involuntary hostages of the situation are involved in this family quarrel,” the press service commented diocese.

While the priest is prohibited from serving until the circumstances are clarified.
