Savings shopping centers in Quito offer discounts and prizes for Christmas shopping

For every $ 10 of purchases at stores known as BBB, customers will receive a ticket to enter a drawing on January 6.

In the twelve shopping centers of savings in Quito, also known as BBB (Good, Beautiful and Cheap), the campaign called ‘Christmas walk’ began to reactivate sales, regarding the Christmas and New Year festivities. This initiative seeks to help formal commerce, which is affected by unregulated vendors that circulate on the streets.

People who make their purchases at the BBB will be able to access discounts, promotions and a prize draw, which will take place on January 6, 2022. To participate, for every $ 10 of purchases, customers will receive a ticket, the which should be deposited in the amphorae of the shopping centers.

The strategy was designed by the Secretariat for Productive Development and Competitiveness (SDPC) and the District Trade Coordination Agency (ACDC), with the support of private companies and the Quito Chamber of Commerce (CCQ).

Visitors must respect biosafety protocols to prevent coronavirus infections, such as temperature control, permanent use of the mask and use of alcohol.

These are the 12 BBBs, which are located in the north, center and south of the capital:

  1. Nuevo Amanecer, located on José López and Mejía streets.
  2. El Tejar, located on Mejía and José López streets.
  3. Hermano Miguel, in Imbabura and Mejía streets
  4. La Merced, on Chile and Imbabura streets
  5. Pasaje Sanguña, in Mideros and Imbabura streets
  6. Ipiales Mires, on General Mires and Mejía streets
  7. Ipiales Norte, on Mariscal Sucre and Jorge Piedra avenues
  8. Granada, in the streets Chile and Cuenca
  9. Montúfar, in Montúfar and San Martín streets
  10. San Martín, on avenida Pichincha and Inciana
  11. Ipiales Sur, on Morán Valverde and Mariscal Sucre avenues
  12. Chiriyacu, on Gualberto Pérez and Alamor streets

The prizes to be awarded are:

  • 1 electric scooter, valued at $ 2,229
  • 1 125cc BOLT chain bike.
  • 1 32-inch television
  • 1 air purifier
  • 1 subwoofer
  • 1 sound bar
  • 10 kits for 300 scooter trips to mobilize around the city
  • Cheap KFC Feasts

To avoid inconveniences and maintain order, actions and an operational plan have been defined with various municipal entities, which consists of informing citizens of the news regarding closures and diversions. In the event of public disorder, contact will be made with the ECU 911 Integrated Security System.

Vehicle closures will be carried out according to operational need. The transit device will be made once the parking spaces reach the limit. Capacity, according to the conditions established by the national COE, reported the Ministry of Productive Development.

The Metropolitan Transit Agency (AMT) will monitor the use of public space, that there are no badly parked vehicles in the vicinity of the BBB, will control the libadores on the public highway and will verify the exercise of economic activities without the respective permits.

In addition, the San José Patronato Special Unit and the Social Inclusion Secretariat will implement an intervention plan for homeless, homeless and begging people in the vicinity of the savings shopping centers.

Cleaning will be done by the Quito Metropolitan Public Cleaning Company (Emaseo). And the Quito Electric Company will work on a planning schedule to verify the correct operation of the luminaires. (I)
