Assault on employees of a business premises in La Libertad

The criminals arrived and intercepted a person who was apparently transporting cash.

At least three men reportedly acted in the assault on employees of a ceramics store, located on Eleodoro Solórzano avenue in the La Libertad canton. This happened at approximately 09:00 on Monday.

Although there was no official pronouncement by those affected, according to the version of several people it was known that the criminals arrived and intercepted a person who apparently was transporting cash.

The antisocials subdued the victim and after committing their misdeed they advanced to the motorcycle that was waiting for them to flee, said a witness to the event, who avoided identifying himself.

Shortly after the alert, the agents of the Judicial Police arrived at the establishment to collect evidence and initiate investigations. Later, in a press conference, Colonel Edison Miranda, deputy commander of the Santa Elena Police, stated that “unfortunately there was no coordination on the part of the employees.”

In addition, he said that within the flagrante delicto the expertises are carried out to determine in what circumstances this assault occurred and to verify the route that the criminals followed. And he anticipated that two motorcycles would have used those who committed this crime.

On the part of the Police, citizens were recommended to avoid the transfer with large amounts of money or to request police protection through 911 for security reasons.

Another assault

The criminals are still free. Thus, another case of assault that was reported Friday night inside a restaurant in Salinas was revealed.

Through a viral video over the weekend, it is observed that two men, one of them wearing a helmet, enter with firearms, intimidate customers, steal their belongings, check the reception and then leave. The audiovisual was handed over to the Police for investigations. (I)
