Billionaire Roman Abramovich bought the most expensive business jet in Russia, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The issue price is $ 350 million.
As reported Forbes citing sources on the aviation market, the business jet flew from Switzerland to Vnukovo the day before for private service.
It is specified that there are only 250 such aircraft in the world, and this is the first for Russia.
The aircraft was built in June 2015 for the private Swiss air operator Privateair, but was never handed over to him. In 2019, its equipping began in accordance with the requests of the billionaire. A business jet can carry up to 50 passengers: 10 seats are provided for security, 10 for staff and 30 for guests.
We will remind, on December 18 it became known that Abramovich became a citizen of Portugal. According to the source RBK, the oligarch took advantage of the Portuguese “Law of Return”, which allows the descendants of Sephardic Jews (immigrants from Spain and Portugal) and Converso Jews (those who were forcibly converted to Christianity) to obtain Portuguese citizenship. The source explained that Abramovich, while studying the history of his family, discovered that some of his relatives had at one time arrived in Hamburg from Portugal as a result of exile. In the study, the billionaire was assisted by rabbis and community leaders in several countries.
In 2018, Abramovich received Israeli citizenship.
