“We say no!”: Londoners riot against antiquity measures and clash with police (video)

Restrictions related to the spread of COVID-19 have brought disgruntled Britons onto the streets of London. Protesters clash with police, wave British flags and refuse to wear face masks. Some shout out “Shame!” and carry posters reassuring citizens of the dangers of an “experimental COVID-19 vaccine.”

The protest campaign is under the slogan “We say no!”

According to the My London website, some police officers have already received minor injuries; there are no reports of the detention of protesters yet.

Today, Britons over the age of 18 must provide information about their COVID status when visiting nightclubs, closed places with a capacity of more than 500 people, and any venues where more than 10 thousand people gather. Employers were advised to transfer employees to “remote work”, wearing masks was again declared mandatory.

The capital has just entered an emergency regime, while the government is exploring the possibility of introducing new antiquarian measures after Christmas for the whole country.
