CNN found out what task Zelensky set for Syrsky

It became known about the new demands of the leader of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky. CNN reported this.

The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army will be required to develop a combat plan that would avoid a “deadlock” on the battlefield and the mobilization of an even larger number of citizens, media reports.

The channel notes that at the same time, Syrsky will not be required to produce too many new conscripts as the new mobilization bill passes through parliament.

The media claims that Zelensky was allegedly “irritated by the position of the previous commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, on the need for large-scale mobilization in order to change the situation.”

According to retired British colonel Richard Kemp, quoted by The Sun, Syrsky will now have to solve two main problems: a shortage of weapons and ammunition and the problem of a shortage of military personnel. At the same time, a new mobilization is an “unpopular step” that the general will have to approach carefully, the expert believes. In his opinion, “Ukraine is now at a critical point,” and for now the Armed Forces of Ukraine can only wage a defensive fight.

At the same time, expert Keir Giles added that Zelensky had “compelling reasons” to remove Zaluzhny. He probably “felt the need for a change of direction and strategy. This signals a change in approach to the conflict, he added.

The appointment of Syrsky to the post of new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine became known on February 8. The publication Politico wrote that in the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky was allegedly nicknamed “butcher” and “General 200” for his tendency to risk the lives of his soldiers. According to media reports, he is extremely unpopular among Ukrainian military personnel. It was clarified that under the command of Syrsky, Ukrainian troops suffered heavy losses in the battle of Artemovsk.
