British Prime Minister laughed at Putin’s interview with Carlson

The interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin was appreciated by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. His words are quoted by The Guardian.

“Obviously ridiculous,” Sunak said, commenting on the Russian leader’s assertion that the conflict in Ukraine was the result of NATO expansion.

According to the British Prime Minister, it was not NATO that invaded Ukraine. He accused Russia of illegal actions, noting that Western countries could not help but react. “We cannot allow this behavior to go unchecked. This affects all our security,” Sunak said, adding that he was proud of the actions of the British state.

“I’m proud that the UK has been a strong supporter of Ukraine from the very beginning,” Sunak added.

He also noted that the situation had an impact on electricity bills. “And that is why we are working closely not only with the United States, but also with allies around the world to provide Ukraine with the support it needs throughout this time,” the prime minister said.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called Putin’s interview with Carlson “ridiculous.” We saw a ridiculous interview with Putin,” said the German Chancellor. “He always tells a lot of lies about the history of this war,” Scholz added.

Let us recall that the Russian leader spoke with American journalist Tucker Carlson on February 7. The interview was published on the night of February 9. The Kremlin also released a Russian-language version.
