Music producer and founder of the group “Zemlyane” Vladimir Kiselev emphasized that today musical artists who are able to remain on the pedestal of fame for a long time are becoming a rarity. He draws attention to the fact that the modern music industry is faced with changes that make the duration of success much less predictable, writes dailymoscow.ru.
“What do we want? How can he be there for long? Do you know how to play? Well, after all, it was recorded through samples, recorded via the Internet, everything was superimposed on programs. Therefore, this cannot last long,” notes Kiselev.
He compares the current situation to training in a gym, where a person can develop huge muscles, but ultimately does not receive recognition because the audience is already tired of the monotony.
“You’re not just in a closed circle, you’re in an audience that has no development,” he adds.
Kiselev also expresses concerns about the monotony of musical culture in the Internet space. He notes that the Russian audience is limited in the variety of choices, which does not contribute to the development of the musical environment.
In the context of this issue, he points to the differences between radio stations in the US and Russia, noting that the availability of a diverse musical palette varies significantly between these countries.
