The parents and brother of Alexander Syrsky, who was appointed commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine today, live in Russia, media reports.
According to TASS, the brother of the main Ukrainian military leader, Oleg Dan, does not communicate with his relative. According to a man living in Vladimir, communication was interrupted after Alexander Syrsky left for Ukraine. “He’s been there all his life, he started his service there and continues it, he has a family there,” the agency’s interlocutor explained.
In turn, according to the Readovka Telegram channel, which MK refers to, Syrsky’s mother and his father, a retired colonel of the Russian Armed Forces, also live in Vladimir. At the same time, the parents of the new Ukrainian commander-in-chief previously often published patriotic posts on social networks, in particular, photographs from the Immortal Regiment march with their participation.
Let us note that there is no official information about where Syrsky’s parents live and what they do.
Let us remind you that today the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky appointed 58-year-old Alexander Syrsky as commander-in-chief of the country’s Armed Forces, dismissing Valery Zaluzhny, who previously held this post. Previously, Syrsky commanded the ground forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Alexander Syrsky was born in the village of Novinki, Kirzhachsky district, Vladimir region. He received his military education at the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School. He has lived in Ukraine since the 1980s.
