The singer and daughter of Alla Pugcheva, Kristina Orbakaite, faced “hate” in Russia. The singer’s tours are being canceled en masse in the regions of the country – first, venues in Siberian cities refused to hold events, and now they don’t want to see the singer in the Far East, writes the Kommersant newspaper.
The media, citing the Telegram channel of the Blagoveshchensk Social and Cultural Center, reports that Orbakaite’s concerts in Blagoveshchensk, which were planned for March 15 and 16, were postponed to other dates, while people were already offered a refund for tickets. The publication writes that combat veterans sought the cancellation of her concert. In an appeal to the governor of the Amur region, Vasily Orlov, they stated that the “US citizens” perceive the concerts as “a personal insult and disrespect for the memory of their fallen comrades.”
The singer’s performances were also postponed in Khabarovsk and a number of other cities in the Far East, allegedly due to logistics problems. At the same time, according to the event organizers, they received threats saying that if the concerts took place, the activists would organize protests.
Earlier it was reported that Orbakaite’s concerts were canceled in Bratsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Krasnoyarsk, and Chita.
