Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov responded to media reports that American journalist and TV presenter Tucker Carlson allegedly visited the presidential administration building in Moscow.
“I do not comment in any way on the movements of the American journalist here,” a Kremlin spokesman told reporters.
Last Monday, February 5, RIA Novosti reported that a car was spotted near the Russian Presidential Administration, which was probably used to transport Tucker Carlson around Moscow. American media suggested that he was going to interview Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Before this, Carlson himself confirmed that he was in Moscow. The Izvestia Telegram channel published a video with a journalist from the United States, who, in response to a question about the possibility of conducting an interview with Putin, smiled and shrugged. “We’ll see,” he added. According to Bloomberg, the Kremlin is considering the option of interviewing Putin with Carlson.
Let us recall that in September 2023, Carlson himself reported on his attempt to interview Putin, but was faced with a ban from the US authorities.
Let us note that the President of the Russian Federation has not communicated with representatives of the Western press for more than two years.
