Russian car owners who did not get an appointment at the registration and examination departments of the traffic police due to a technical failure that occurred on Saturday, December 18, will be able to take advantage of this the next day – on Sunday. Citizens who paid for payment documents on December 18 with a 30% discount will be able to exercise this right on the following days. Decisions regarding the prosecution of motorists who have violated the rules of state registration of vehicles will also be made taking into account this emergency.
Failures like Saturday’s are sporadic, the Interior Ministry said, adding that technical specialists are working to eliminate the problem that has affected all regions of Russia. Due to the failure, the provision of state services related to the registration of motor vehicles and the issuance of driver’s licenses has been suspended, access to information on administrative fines imposed for traffic violations has been limited. Work not related to the functioning of the information system is carried out in the usual manner.
