Director Andrei Pershin (Zhora Kryzhovnikov) explained why he decided to reshoot the finale of the popular series “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the asphalt.”
According to StarHit, the director discovered that the lines of some of the characters, who received vivid acting incarnation, needed adjustment.
“I was afraid that at some point they would simply hate Marat. The end of the seventh episode, he ratted everyone out. I thought: well, that’s it, he’s finished, because they’re all into him… But, thank God, it slipped through. And the eighth episode, canonical, as you said… It seemed to me that we made a couple of mistakes, I didn’t like it,” he added.
At the same time, according to Pershin, when making this decision he did not follow the lead of the critics of the film – “there was no order from above or any censorship problems.” However, there was a feeling that the series could be better. Especially considering the great interest in the project among viewers. “In the end, we remade it in order to – how can I say? “Instead of a blurry ellipsis there was a clear dot,” the director explained.
Let us remind you that the series “The Boy’s Word” has become one of the most discussed film projects of 2023. Even the film crew itself did not imagine that it would become so popular among viewers. At the same time, the series was criticized by a number of public and government figures. He was reproached, in particular, by the alleged romanticization of youth criminal groups. The film was promptly checked by Roskomnadzor employees, who found no grounds for its ban. Later it became known that the series would be extended for two seasons.
We also recall that after episodes 7 and 8 of the film were leaked onto the Internet, it turned out that the film crew intended to reshoot the series finale.
