A consignment of military uniforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was being transported from the People’s Republic of China, was discovered on the border with Russia, TASS reports with reference to the head of the Chita customs Vladimir Ignatiev. Deliveries went by rail to Poland.
When inspecting one of the trains, the inspection and inspection complex (IDC) discovered violations during a thorough check of the declared products. According to the documentation, the train was carrying Chinese-made sportswear, but it turned out that in reality the containers contained uniforms for the Ukrainian army with the corresponding delivery addresses, customs officials said.
According to Ignatiev, the inspection of the remaining containers for the transportation of prohibited products is currently ongoing. However, the military uniform was vacuum-packed at the factory, and additional containers will be needed to repack it.
In addition, an investigation is being conducted with the participation of FSB officers. It has been established that the uniform tags indicate parameters characteristic of military uniforms.
Against the backdrop of the uniform incident, the State Duma hastened to reassure the public. Parliamentarians said that what happened at customs will not affect the dynamics of the development of Russian-Chinese relations.
