The press service of the Moscow Department of Education and Science clarified the situation with the New Year trees in schools and kindergartens in Moscow this year.
Educational institutions were allowed to make decisions about holding New Year trees, depending on the epidemiological situation with the coronavirus. “This year, we recommend that schools in the capital hold the upcoming New Year’s parties, if possible, and invite parents to them. However, it must be remembered that the epidemiological situation in each school may be different, therefore, each school decides on its own to hold a holiday and, moreover, to invite parents to it, ”the department explained.
Parents who plan to attend school matinees will need to show a QR code or a negative covid PCR test.
Earlier it became known that the wide celebration of the New Year in the center of Moscow may be partially limited. In addition, due to the coronavirus, they decided to increase the New Year’s holidays for schoolchildren. They will be sent on vacation from December 27 to January 9. Usually winter holidays for schoolchildren began on December 29th.
