The Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg sent Suren Tumanov into custody after a fatal traffic accident on Nevsky Prospekt. As reported in the united press service of the city courts, the man did not fight for a softer measure of restraint.
According to the investigation, the person involved in the criminal case was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. The examination showed alcohol intoxication at 0.827 mg / l on the day of the accident.
“Tumanov explained that he had nothing to say. Left the measure to the discretion of the court. The whole process was carried out while standing, ”the department said.
The man will stay in the pre-trial detention center until February 15. He is accused of a crime under paragraph “a” of Part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, that is, for violation of traffic rules, which inadvertently entailed the death of a person, if it was committed in a state of intoxication.
Recall, according to the investigation, Suren Tumanov ran into two pedestrians on Nevsky Prospekt on the evening of December 15. One of the victims is in intensive care, the other died on the spot.
