Putin told how many Russians are in the Northern Military District zone

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that today 600 thousand people are taking part in a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, Interfax reports. According to Putin, the length of the NWO zone is about 2 thousand km.

The President also noted that there are some aspects in the field of supporting a military operation that can be called “administrative costs.” According to Putin, such costs are often encountered in work at the state level.

In addition, the commander-in-chief again assured that all the goals that were set for the military at the beginning of hostilities would be achieved. Putin stressed that the decision to conduct a special operation is not the beginning of a war. On the contrary, this is a way to end the war started by Kiev in the Donbass in 2014, Putin said.

The Russian President emphasized that the SVO is aimed exclusively at protecting Russia and its interests. He recalled that Moscow tried to establish a dialogue with Kiev for many years, but “the masters of Ukraine” after the collapse of the USSR “were nationalists” who became dangerous for residents of the southeast.

The President emphasized that Russia initially tried to act peacefully.

Previously, Putin has repeatedly stated that Ukraine was the first to start hostilities.
