“Killer desserts”: it turned out which sweets are the most harmful

Dietician and nutritionist Irina Mansurova spoke about the most dangerous sweets for human health.

The list of the most harmful products included donuts, chak-chak and brushwood. The specialist, in an interview with Arguments and Facts, explained that these dishes are dangerous because they are deep-fried and contain a lot of fat, simple carbohydrates and sugars. Such food contributes to weight gain, the development of diabetes and heart problems, Mansurova warned.

The doctor also does not advise overusing fizzy candies because of the acids in the composition, which destroy the walls of the esophagus. The doctor named chewing gum as another harmful product, which provokes excess production of gastric juice, increases the load on the teeth and can lead to abrasion of the enamel and the development of ulcers and gastritis.

Additives contained in cakes, pastries, waffles and muffins can cause cancer, allergies, and gastritis, the nutritionist warns.

In general, Mansurova does not call for completely giving up sweets, but consuming them in moderation.

Previously, the doctor warned Russians against skipping lunches and dinners in order to lose weight, and also shared the secret of how not to gain weight in winter.
