Representatives and members of the regional branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia visited the regional election headquarters of Vladimir Putin and left their signatures in support of his nomination as a candidate in the 2024 presidential elections.
According to the first deputy chairman of the St. Petersburg regional branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, Yuri Osipov, domestic industry is actively developing today. “Over the past years, Vladimir Vladimirovich has supported a significant number of mechanical engineering programs, and it is very important for all of us that these programs continue to be implemented, increasing the capacity of the entire complex,” Osipov explained his decision.
The machine-building complex of Russia and the North-Western Federal District in particular faces large, serious challenges that need to be solved in the near future. “Thanks to the effective support of the state and industrial policy, I think that it will be quite easy for us to quickly cope with the tasks that are outlined for the industry,” emphasized the director of the industrial cluster of the Autoprom North-West Union and a member of the regional council of the St. Petersburg regional branch Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia Maya Sviridova.
Let us remind you that Vladimir Putin is running for president in 2024 as a self-nominated candidate. According to the law, he needs to collect at least 300 thousand signatures of voters in different regions in his support.
Voting for the Russian presidential election will take place from March 15 to 17. For the first time, residents of new regions of the country – Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions – will take part in it.
