Russia and India have a long common history of international cooperation in various fields, said Sergei Cheremin, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of External Economic and International Relations, Chairman of the Board of the Business Council for Cooperation with India, at the opening of the Smart Cities India Expo exhibition in New Delhi.
“India and Russia have a 75-year history of trade, economic, scientific, technological, cultural cooperation, characterized as a privileged strategic partnership. Both countries have unique human resources, achievements in the aerospace, nuclear industries, mechanical engineering, production of household appliances, microelectronics, development of information technology, cybersecurity, and creation of sophisticated software, which makes the countries ideal partners for the implementation of projects such as Smart India Cities. We are united by the common goal of building the most modern infrastructure, creating a safe and comfortable urban environment,” said Sergey Cheremin.
The latest achievements under the Smart City program will be presented at the Moscow stand. The Russian capital today is one of the world leaders in the fields of sustainable development, transport infrastructure, electronic city services, artificial intelligence and big data processing, robotics, nanotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, digital technologies, and creative industries.
A delegation from the Moscow government will also take part in a business forum on January 18, 2024, which will bring together Russian and Indian companies involved in the development of information technology and urban infrastructure.
