Today, across Russia, at the initiative of the United Russia party, a single day of collecting signatures was held in support of the nomination of Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections. In the Northern capital, the action involved 39 signature collection points located in various parts of the city, as well as the site of the candidate’s regional election headquarters on Krasnogvardeyskaya Square, 3.
“United Russia” in St. Petersburg is actively involved in collecting signatures for the nomination of Vladimir Putin for the election of the President of the country. Deputies of the State Duma, regional parliament, local party branches, party supporters and Young Guards joined the collection of signatures. In the president’s hometown, a special unity around the head of state is felt. It is this unity that distinguishes our country today,” stressed State Duma deputy, head of the regional branch of United Russia Sergei Boyarsky.
Among those who signed in support of Vladimir Putin’s nomination at the regional election headquarters were activists of the Young Guard movement and representatives of the Public Council of the Women’s Movement party project. “We have mobilized young people, party activists – everyone wants to put their signature today on the single day of collection, because no one is indifferent to the fate of our country,” said Alexander Malikov, federal coordinator of the Young Guard of United Russia for the Northwestern Federal District.
According to the chairman of the public council of the party project “Women’s Movement of United Russia” in St. Petersburg, Daria Avakumova, despite difficult times, new methods of state support are being introduced in the Russian Federation, the cost of living is increasing: “As a woman, I can note that in our country women can feel safe and comfortable. That’s why we all came here to make our Russia even better,” she is sure.
Mothers with many children, participants and finalists of beauty contests held in the city on the Neva in different years agreed with this opinion. In particular, Mrs. St. Petersburg 2023 Lyudmila Rozhneva noted that the country is doing a lot to support families. The coming year has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia, which reflects the basic principle: a strong family is a strong state. “The Mrs. Russia Federation has been cooperating with United Russia for a long time, so today we gathered and decided to put our signatures in support of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and support this public initiative,” Rozhneva noted.
Let us recall that at the XXI Congress, United Russia unanimously supported the self-nomination of Vladimir Putin as a presidential candidate in the elections that will be held from March 15 to 17. The collection of signatures in support of the candidates is currently ongoing; they must be received by the Central Election Commission by January 31. At the moment, the Central Election Commission has registered three candidates: Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Vladislav Davankov (New People) and Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation).
