Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian government to ensure the improvement of mechanisms for the application of experimental legal regimes in the field of digital innovation, paying particular attention to the need to identify those responsible for causing harm as a result of using solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI).
The list of instructions following the conference “Journey to the world of artificial intelligence” also notes the importance of developing a unified approach to insurance of liability for damage caused, and also draws attention to the need to protect exclusive rights to the results of intellectual activity created using AI technologies.
Putin also instructed the government to take measures to increase the number of organizations that have joined the Code of Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin urged fellow citizens to use the capabilities of the metaverse “to work and study,” and not to flee there from real life. Ohe stressed that Russia has big plans for the development of an educational digital space for schoolchildren and students, and reported that all Russian schools should be equipped with high-speed Internet in the next two to three years.
“Let me remind you that the term ‘metaverse’ itself was proposed by a famous science fiction writer three decades ago, and according to his plan, people fled, literally escaped in it (the metaverse) from the imperfection of the real world,” the Russian president added. – Such an approach would be too pessimistic for us today. I think that this path definitely does not need to be followed. “
