Online procedures are due at 11:59 pm on Friday. In-person procedures can be done until December 29.
The Metropolitan Transit Agency (AMT) of Quito reported on the deadlines in which the vehicle registration processes will end this year.
Until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, December 17, the online procedures for exonerated vehicles, renewal and change of species will be available. This must be done through the website www.amt.gob.ec.
Before starting the online management, the user will have to cancel all the pending values for vehicle technical review, registration, traffic violations, explains the Agency.
On the other hand, when the procedures are done in person, such as the transfer of domain, the deadline expires on December 29. For this, the owners of the cars have to obtain a previous appointment for the revision and another one for the registration.

In the case of new vehicles, applications will be accepted until December 23, from 08:00 to 15:00. The delivery of all the procedures to the commercial managers can be done until December 30, from 08:00 to 13:00.
The AMT estimates that it will attend an average of 3,000 daily procedures, between face-to-face and digital, until the end of the year. For this purpose, the hours of attention in the registration centers will be from 08:00 to 18:00 on December 27, 28 and 29.
“We call on the public to cancel their pending values in advance to proceed with the Vehicle Technical Review and Registration procedures, since SRI registration payments are made in 48 hours; pending values of the AMT 24 hours and finally, the receipt of the circulation permit takes from 3 to 5 business days ”, detailed the institution.
The values for not complying with the enrollment in 2021 are:
- For non-payment of tuition, $ 25
- For not meeting the schedule, $ 25
- For not passing the Vehicle Technical Review, $ 50. (I)
