Russians urged to drink less coffee and tea this year

Moscow doctor Andrei Tyazhelnikov called on Russians to change their diet in 2024 and drink less coffee and strong tea. The doctor explained the recommendations by the frequent magnetic storms predicted this year.

“To minimize health risks, it is better to reconsider your habits: streamline your diet, giving up fried and salty foods,” advises the chief freelance specialist in primary health care for adults at the capital’s health department in an interview with the Moscow agency.

According to him, due to magnetic storms, even healthy people can experience headaches, dizziness, heart rhythm disturbances, anxiety, and mood swings. People during this period often sleep poorly and complain of rises and falls in blood pressure, as well as aching joints.

“It is recommended to drink less strong tea and coffee, replacing these drinks with herbal teas or infusions, clean water. For people with low blood pressure, it is appropriate to take means to improve tone, for example, lemongrass tincture,” explained Tyazhelnikov.

In addition, he noted the importance of avoiding alcohol during magnetic storms, driving and heavy physical activity.
