Levels of insecurity will decrease when there are fully honest and accountable authorities that do not hesitate to punish offenders as they should; and the construction of new prisons will correct all the deficiencies that occurred, precisely because of the lack of justice bearers, who unfortunately allowed themselves to be dominated by corrupt people.

If real directors are not appointed in the new prisons, and if a total and exhaustive purge of the staff working in them, as well as judges, etc., is not carried out, we will continue in the same unacceptable situation.

Each action must be accompanied by another. First, pro-criminal laws must be reformed. Those in charge of dispensing justice must punish more severely judges, prosecutors and judicial administrators who do not work for the benefit of citizens.

In addition, police officers and other law enforcement officers must be better prepared to fight crime. On the other hand, in cases where the police are trying to catch a criminal and they are attacked by their acquaintances and relatives, and even passers-by, these people should also be arrested for obstruction of justice. Marcelo Moncayo
