The exhibition and presentation “Transformation of school education is the key to Russia’s prosperity” was held today at the regional election headquarters of presidential candidate Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.
As RosBalt news agency was informed at the headquarters, visitors to the exhibition during the excursion were shown how St. Petersburg schools have changed in recent years – both externally and in terms of the learning process. The excursionists were able to get acquainted with the latest educational practices, as well as with the technical capabilities that a modern school provides. For example, during the main educational process and in additional classes, students in specially equipped classrooms get acquainted with video and media technologies, the basics of robotics and 3D modeling.
One of the participants in the presentation at the initiative of the youth public organization of the Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg was the head of the project for modernizing the educational process, Pavel Troshkeev. He said that schools today provide a lot of opportunities for the comprehensive development of students. “If previously a school was a building on the territory of which there was a sports ground and green spaces, then a modern St. Petersburg school is an educational complex that consists of several buildings and includes several structural units,” Troshkeev noted.
According to experts in the field of education, this approach to the process allows you to expand the range of knowledge, and allows children to more consciously approach the choice of a future profession and begin to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for it during their school years.
