The gap between the richest and poorest families in Russia has been identified. The data are presented based on the results of the “Selective Observation of Population Income and Participation in Social Programs” conducted by Rosstat, writes the portal Banki.ru.
60 thousand households took part in the study, as well as another 10 thousand households in the target sample of “families with children”.
It turned out that in 2022, the income of the richest 10% of families exceeded the income of the poorest 10% of families by nine times. At the same time, the monthly income of the country’s wealthiest residents averaged 101.2 thousand rubles, and the poorest – 11.1 thousand rubles, Rosstat calculated.
It was also found that the richest 10% of households accounted for 26.7% of the total cash income in the country, and the poorest group accounted for 2.9%. It is clarified that the main source of income for all groups under consideration is labor activity: salary or income from independent activity, including entrepreneurship.
The text also states that social payments for the poorest families account for more than 40% of income (17 thousand rubles per month), for the richest – 6.6% of income (11.8 thousand rubles per month).
Earlier, St. Petersburg residents admitted whether their salary was enough to live on.
