“Wage increases are expected primarily for those organizations where the employer is the state,” noted the assistant professor of the basic department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation “Human Resource Management” of the Russian Economic University. The newspaper also writes that now labor reserves in Russia are practically exhausted, so companies are forced to compete for personnel. An increase in wages is definitely expected in industries that have shown significant growth in the past year – electric power, transport, construction, hotel and restaurant business, according to the media.
The publication also cites the opinion of the managing director of Avito Work, Artem Kumpel, who noted that a 5% increase in wages in real terms is the maximum. However, employers are also expanding corporate bonus programs, including voluntary health insurance and pension insurance.
