Russian President Vladimir Putin was surprised that most of the funds of the national tourism project “went” to the capital of the Turizm.rf company. Putin expressed his surprise at this fact at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, broadcast by the Russia 24 TV channel.
Putin, among other things, said that he had questions about the Tourism and Hospitality Industry project. And the questions relate to the fact that most of the allocated funds were spent not on real work, on the construction of new infrastructure facilities and the development of the industry, but contributed to the capital of Tourism.rf. “Maybe I’m wrong, then I ask you to make the appropriate adjustments,” he suggested. And he pointed out that according to the national project on tourism, the fulfillment of obligations by more than 83% is recorded, but the main work is only half completed. “I would like to know what will be done in the near future on this issue,” Putin added.
We will remind, earlier Putin supported the development of tourism at the Vostochny cosmodrome, but he was outraged by the high prices for travel there. The reason for the discussion was the complaint of Ivan Uteshev, a student at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, that Russian research centers remain closed, which hinders the popularization of science. According to him, a 3-4-day tour to the Vostochny cosmodrome costs about 100 thousand rubles.
