The Financial Times reported on the confrontation between the authorities and the military over the law on mobilization in Ukraine

In Ukraine, a new confrontation between the current government and the military has begun around the law on mobilization, for which no one wants to take responsibility. The British newspaper The Financial Times reports this.

The publication in its material draws attention to the fact that the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky named the exact number of citizens who are planned to be drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny criticized him for “divulging military secrets.”

The newspaper’s publication notes that the task of recruiting people into the ranks of the Ukrainian army has become an extremely sensitive issue. According to the authors of the article, the Ukrainian leader is trying to shift, or at least share, responsibility for tightening mobilization with the military command. However, Zaluzhny does not want to be responsible for this. The report concluded that because of this situation, 2024 “will be even more difficult on both the front and home fronts.”

Earlier, Zaluzhny announced a change in the strategy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2024. In turn, Zelensky called the main goal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2024 the isolation of Crimea.

Let us remind you that Ukraine may oblige citizens aged 25 to 60 years who live abroad to report to recruiting stations.
