Bloomberg: The richest woman in Russia in 2021 lost more than $ 3 billion – Rosbalt

The founder of the Wildberries marketplace and the richest woman in Russia, Tatyana Bakalchuk, lost $ 3.24 billion from January to November 2021, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI).

As of December 15, Bakalchuk’s fortune is estimated at $ 5.85 billion, and at the beginning of the year it was $ 9.09 billion. That is, Bakalchuk has become $ 3.24 billion less.

Recall that Bakalchuk is in 491st place in the world ranking of the rich and 26th among the wealthiest Russians. Previously, Forbes named the founder of Wildberries the billionaire with the fastest growing income in the world. According to the newspaper’s estimates, Bakalchuk’s fortune has grown by more than a thousand percent over the year.

According to the SPARK database, Bakalchuk owns 99% of Wildberry LLC, another 1% belongs to her husband Vladislav. As the newspaper notes, the successful IPO of a competitor – the Ozon online store, which took place in November 2020, helped to overestimate the value of the company and, accordingly, the fortune of Bakalchuk.

We add that among the Russians, whose fortune grew the most last year, the American Forbes singled out the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov. In the Russian Forbes list of 2020, he took 30th place with a fortune of $ 3.4 billion, but a year later he “jumped” to 9th place from $ 17.2 billion (+ 400%).

Meanwhile, Russia ranks third in the list of countries with the highest income among entrepreneurs, whose fortune grew by $ 145 billion in a year.
