Drunk migrants attacked SVO participants in Chelyabinsk, a criminal case has been opened

A video of an attack by a group of aggressive youth on people waiting for a taxi, including SVO members and their wives, has spread on social networks.

The posted recording shows how drunk teenagers, presumably from among the visitors, advance on passers-by with obscene insults, threaten them, and then attack them with a stick and pepper spray. It is noted that the incident happened on New Year’s Eve.

The Investigative Committee of Russia responded to the situation. “According to media and social networks, on the night of January 1, in the courtyard of one of the houses in the Sovetsky district of Chelyabinsk, a group of foreign citizens who were intoxicated behaved provocatively. Migrants hurled insults at local residents demobilized from the front lines and their wives. They also struck one of the SVO participants with an object used as a weapon,” the department said in a statement.

A criminal case of hooliganism has been opened in connection with the incident. The participants in the attack are being sought, and the details of the incident are being clarified. It is also known that the police are conducting their own verification of the circumstances of the emergency – this was stated in the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If the stated facts are confirmed, they promised to take response measures provided for by law.
