In the Huachi Grande parish, in the south of Ambato, members of the Anti-Narcotics Unit of Subzone 18 of the National Police in Tungurahua managed to locate 145 drug packages bound in the back of the chassis of a vehicle.

He argued that the detained person was driving the vehicle, a vehicle owned by another owner, and that the investigation process continues in order to find out who the drug suppliers are.
The apprehended is of Ecuadorian nationality and has no criminal record.
Among other evidences, a cell phone terminal, the vehicle and $ 151 that were in the possession of the apprehended were seized.
Muñoz added that this is the largest shipment that has been seized in Tungurahua so far this year.
So far this year in Zone 3, made up of Tungurahua, Pastaza, Chimborazo and Cotopaxi, 2 tons of substances subject to control have been seized, of which 1.4 tons have been seized in this province.
