Murashko gave top 3 advice to Russians for the New Year holidays

The head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, addressed Russians with a number of tips regarding the upcoming New Year holidays.

The minister also called on his compatriots not to overeat. The top 3 recommendations from Murashko also included requests to strictly follow traffic rules and wash your hands thoroughly.

“Spending the holidays with your family is an excellent opportunity to actively relax, prepare delicious and healthy food, and also support your family in giving up bad habits,” RIA Novosti quotes the head of the Ministry of Health.

Murashko asks Russians to wear masks in public places ahead of the holidays to avoid getting sick. In his opinion, more vegetables, fish and dietary meat should be placed on the New Year’s table. The minister also warned about the dangers of excess salt – it provokes an increase in blood pressure and increases the risk of heart attack and stroke, stomach cancer, osteoporosis and obesity.

“A cigarette and an ‘extra glass’ of alcohol will definitely not add to your health, strength and energy, but they will most likely cause a ‘breakdown’ the next day,” concluded the head of the Russian Ministry of Health.

Earlier, Murashko reported that the work of the healthcare system in Russia will be strengthened during the New Year holidays.
