Volobuev familiarized the teenagers with the progress and objectives of the special military operation, and also reminded them of the significant events of the next year.

Firstly, the veteran noted, the anniversary of the Leningrad victory will be celebrated in the coming year. “2024 will be the year of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade. It is no coincidence that this historical memory unites all generations of our country,” Volobuev emphasized.

Secondly, on March 15, 16 and 17, 2024, presidential elections will be held in Russia, which are very important for the country and each of its residents. For the first time, residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will take part in the elections of the head of the Russian state.

In addition, Vasily Volobuev told schoolchildren about the rise of the Russian military-industrial complex and the importance of creating a unified history textbook.

The meeting with active youth took place at the regional election headquarters of Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Putin, which opened in St. Petersburg on December 22. Now in the Northern capital there is a collection of signatures in support of the current head of state. Since Putin is running as a self-nominated candidate, he needs to collect at least 300 thousand signatures from voters across the country.

There will be 39 points for collecting signatures in support of Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.

In addition, a public reception for candidate Vladimir Putin has opened at Krasnogvardeyskaya Square, 3, in which specialists will answer questions from citizens regarding the upcoming vote, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This site will also host educational and cultural events in which everyone can take part.
