The cost of chicken eggs in Russia from December 19 to December 25, 2023 increased by 4%. At the same time, chicken meat fell in price by 0.8%, TASS reports citing Rosstat calculations.
According to the department, prices also increased for boiled sausages, butter, hard, semi-hard and soft cheeses, canned vegetables for baby food – by 0.5%, for sausages, sausages – by 0.4%, for beef, lamb, sour cream , wheat flour, bread and bakery products made from various types of wheat flour, vermicelli – by 0.3%, frozen fish, pasteurized milk, cottage cheese, rye bread, pasta, canned fruit and berries for baby food, table salt, lunches in canteen, cafe, snack bar (except for the canteen in the organization) – by 0.2%, for pork, margarine and vodka – by 0.1%.
At the same time, prices for chicken meat decreased by 0.8%, for granulated sugar, millet and buckwheat – by 0.2%, for canned meat and powdered milk mixtures for baby food, sterilized milk, cookies and black tea – by 0.1%.
The increase in prices for fruits and vegetables averaged 3%. Including increased prices for cucumbers – by 8.8%, tomatoes – by 4%, table beets – by 1.8%, white cabbage – by 1.6%, apples – by 1.4%, potatoes and onions – by 0.6%, carrots and bananas – by 0.4%.
