A man got out of a gray vehicle and shot the victim repeatedly. After the attack, the attacker fled the site aboard the same vehicle.
According to residents of the area, at least four detonations were heard at the time of the attack.
The body of the victim, who wore shorts type jean and a gray T-shirt, he was lying between the sidewalk and the roadway, located parallel to Avenida de las Américas.
The assailant wore a cap, mask, and blue and black clothing.
At the site, paramedics from the Ecuadorian Red Cross and members of the National Police confirmed that the man no longer had vital signs.
Around 2:00 p.m., a Legal Medicine vehicle of the Ecuadorian Transit Commission was in charge of moving the body to the morgue of the Judicial Police, located in the west of the city.
