MANTA, Manabi
That the body of Naomi Arcentales Sabando, who was found dead in an apartment in Manta, be exhumed is one of the steps that Luiggi García, the family’s defense attorney, requested this Wednesday morning.
The young woman’s family, a partner of a Manabí prosecutor, requested that the diligence be carried out to clarify the death.
García pointed out that they will also request that this action be carried out by medical examiners in Quito to obtain greater objectivity in the investigations.
Last Sunday night, the young woman’s body was found inside an apartment on the 13th floor of a building that also houses a five-star hotel in the Barbasquillo citadel, an area of high added value located in the west of Manta.

Ray Arcentales, Naomi’s father, indicated that he was unaware of the alleged sexual crime that had been committed against his first-born daughter.
This event, according to the lawyer García, occurred last August. The Prosecutor’s Office specified that three people are being investigated for this crime, among them is not the model’s partner.
The State Attorney General’s Office ordered that around the death of the model Naomi Arcentales Sabando, other expert opinions be practiced to rule out that her death is a case of femicide, this entity said in a statement.
These inquiries are part of the protocol for the investigation of femicides and other crimes involving violent deaths against girls and women implemented by the Prosecutor’s Office. (I)
