Four criminals arrived on two motorcycles and a green car was waiting for them on a corner.
A brigade of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) was assaulted on the morning of this Wednesday 15 in the cooperative 12 de Mayo, located on the island of Trinitaria, south of Guayaquil.
Those affected are six workers who work in larval control and fumigation.
They were surprised by four armed men who arrived on two motorcycles to the alley of block 492, where they were delivering a powder to disinfect the cisterns of the houses.
Cell phones, documents and even uniforms were taken from the officials.
A green car was waiting for the criminals on the corner, explained a resident.
During the robbery, the thieves opened the institution’s vans and checked what was inside, said an MSP official, who assured that it is not the first time that these brigades have suffered assaults.
“The other time they assaulted the comrades who went to the Nigerian sector. They filed a complaint and the criminals found out, so the next time they came to the area to fumigate almost lynch them. They had to flee in a tricimoto ”, said the worker who asks the Police to protect them when they arrive in these highly dangerous sectors.
The municipal brigades in charge of monitoring the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 have suffered robberies in different sectors of the city. Faced with this, the council arranged a shelter for those groups. (I)
