39 points will be opened in St. Petersburg to collect signatures in support of the nomination of Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation

Volunteers from the regional election headquarters of Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Putin, together with branches of the Popular Front in St. Petersburg, began collecting signatures in support of the Russian leader’s self-nomination in the upcoming presidential elections.

Vladimir Putin’s election headquarters operates in the Artplay space on Krasnogvardeyskaya Square. Its first organizational meeting took place on December 22. The co-chairs of the headquarters were the rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design Alexey Demidov, the head of the council of the city public organization of veterans of war, labor, armed forces and law enforcement agencies Vasily Volobuev and the social coordinator of the St. Petersburg branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Evgeny Shuvalov.

The night before, activists began work in the Central, Kalininsky, Nevsky and Krasnogvardeisky districts, and starting Monday they will collect signatures throughout the city. A total of 39 locations will be opened in the Northern capital.

“In St. Petersburg, as throughout the country, for those wishing to sign in support of the nomination of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, simple and clear rules apply: a person must have a passport, he must have a city registration and he must be over 18 years old. If he is 20 or 45 years old, he must have a new passport in accordance with his age,” said Ekaterina Mashkova, deputy chief of staff of the regional headquarters of the presidential candidate.

Let us remind you that Vladimir Putin was the first to submit documents to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation to nominate his candidacy for the post of president. The head of state runs in elections as a self-nominated candidate. According to the law on presidential elections in Russia, he needs to collect 300 thousand signatures.

The presidential elections of the Russian Federation will be held on March 15, 16 and 17, 2024. For the first time, residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will participate in them.
