A 12-year-old girl who died on a train traveling from Tomsk to Adler was diagnosed with influenza A virus. Saratov Rospotrebnadzor reports this.
It is noted that the same type of virus was found in the remaining 15 hospitalized children. 7 of them are in a state of moderate severity. Another 60 children have signs of ARVI.
There were a total of 125 minors on the train. Everyone was picked up in Saratov and taken to the hospital. As previously reported, doctors were unable to save one girl. It was previously established that the child felt unwell the day before. According to the head of the group accompanying the children, on December 20, the girl’s temperature rose to 39 degrees. A nurse examined the girl and gave her an antipyretic, after which the temperature dropped. However, a little later the child lost consciousness, an ambulance was called, but they could not resuscitate the child.
Law enforcement officers began an investigation. During the train’s journey, the restaurant director and cook were already interviewed. The Investigative Committee for the Penza region opened a criminal case. The Mash Telegram channel reported that the camp where the deceased girl was vacationing is being checked by employees of Roszdrav and Rospotrebnadzor. It is noted that before leaving, no one complained of feeling unwell. The deceased also had no complaints before leaving.
