The press service of the digital video service Wink stated that filming of the second season of “A Boy’s Word” will start no earlier than January 2024, since the first season of the project has not yet been completed.

The plot of the crime drama is based on the confrontation between teenagers during the years of perestroika, when the country was overwhelmed by waves of gang warfare and the redistribution of spheres of influence in the late 80s of the last century. 14-year-old Andrei, trying to defend himself from the attacks of punks, meets teenager Marat, who helps him get used to the world of street crime.
According to Kryzhovnikov, the story in “The Boy’s Word” is his own childhood memories. The director also told reporters that in order to accurately create the atmosphere of the 80s, he had to research a lot of historical materials.
