A meeting of the initiative group of voters supported the self-nomination of Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the Russian presidential elections in March 2024. This was announced by the head of the executive committee of the Popular Front, Mikhail Kuznetsov, noting that the decision was made unanimously by the meeting.
The event, which took place in the Zaryadye concert hall in Moscow, was attended by the Secretary of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Natalya Budarina.
To begin collecting signatures in support of Putin’s nomination as a candidate, the minutes of the meeting will be sent to the Central Election Commission for registration of the initiative group. She has to collect 300 thousand votes.
The initiative group will include singer and Moscow City Duma deputy Nadezhda Babkina, artists Polina Gagarina, Shaman (Yaroslav Dronov), Larisa Dolina, Stas Mikhailov, director Nikita Mikhalkov, figure skater Tatyana Navka, conductor Valery Gergiev, actor Vladimir Mashkov and boxer Jeff Monson, reports “ Merchant.”
Let us remember that Putin is running for the presidential election for the fifth time. It was reported that 33 billion rubles would be spent on the Russian presidential elections. Voting in the elections will take place over three days, from March 15 to 17, 2024.
