In Russia for the first time publicly presented the latest development of its defense industry – the heavy attack jet unmanned aerial vehicle S-70 “Okhotnik”. The first flight prototype of the UAV, made according to the “flying wing” scheme, was rolled out at the Novosibirsk aircraft plant. Chkalov.
The Sukhoi designers endowed this type of Hunter with a reduced radar signature, for which they provided it with a flat nozzle. The apparatus weighing 20 tons, as stated, was “taught” to strike at targets without entering the enemy’s air defense zone. The drone can take on board up to 2.8 tons of bombs or missiles.
According to the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexei Krivoruchko, “the roll-out of the UAV fixes the completion of the assembly of the product as a whole, equipping it with all the necessary on-board equipment in accordance with the requirements for aircraft.” It also symbolizes “the transition to integrated ground workings to prepare for the first flight,” RIA Novosti quotes Deputy Sergei Shoigu.

In a laudatory report on the state-run Channel One, the journalist called the specimen shown by NAZ “the pride of the domestic aircraft industry”, but not all Twitter users agreed with this. So, some believed that until the first flight passed, it is better not to jump to conclusions.
“Have you rolled it out? All right, this is a success, you can start drawing cartoons, “wrote one of the skeptical users.

“And the tractor that is supposed to pull it also has a flat nozzle? Or is this just being developed? ” Another asked jokingly.
And the tractor that should pull it also with a flat nozzle? Or is this still being developed?

Note that the “Okhotnik” with a “traditional nozzle” was tested in flight back in 2019. And the development of such UAVs began about 10 years ago, reminiscent of N + 1.
Earlier, the ex-Minister of Defense of the unrecognized Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Igor Strelkov commented on the use of the Turkish Bayraktar attack drones by the Ukrainian troops in the Donbass. More details – here.
