Russian leader Vladimir Putin commented on the situation with egg prices in the country. Speaking during a press conference, he promised that the situation would stabilize in the near future.
“I talked to the Minister of Agriculture and asked how he was doing with his eggs. He said everything is fine,” Putin said. He explained that there is an increase in income in the country, demand has increased, but not production volumes.
The President also admitted that he himself loves eggs.
He promised that the situation would improve. “I hope so. The conversations continued for another two weeks with the Ministry. Sorry, there’s a problem with the government,” Putin said.
He added that the Russian Federation did not open the import of chicken eggs on time, but decisions have already been made and the situation will improve. “I promise that the situation will be corrected in the near future,” the president noted.
Let us remind you that Putin sums up the results of the year in a combined format of a direct line and a large press conference in Gostiny Dvor. The total number of questions submitted to the president was about 2.5 million.
Previously, the combined format of a direct line and a large press conference was used in 2020: the coronavirus pandemic did not allow holding events separately. In 2022, the direct line and press conference were not held.
