The Russian Federation is expecting an influx of refugees from the “Russian world”

Soon refugees from the “Russian world” will pour into Russia. This forecast was presented by the Moscow Bureau of Human Rights (MBHR) in a report on violations of the rights of Russian citizens and compatriots abroad in 2023, excerpts are provided by Nezavisimaya Gazeta.

It is alleged that cases of violation of the rights of Russians abroad have become more frequent. Economic restrictions are also mentioned, such as confiscation of property, seizure of accounts, and deprivation of legal status. At the same time, a particularly alarming situation is developing in the USA, Poland, Finland, the Baltic countries and Ukraine, human rights activists note. According to them, the violation of the rights of Russian compatriots living in Estonia has reached a new level, and we are talking not only about an entry ban, but also about a policy of forced deportation of Russians. The governments of Lithuania and Latvia are pursuing a similar policy.

The MBHR report emphasizes that “Western countries are actively engaged in creating a new Iron Curtain,” and there is a “massive violation of the norms of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Torture.”

The country needs to prepare for an increase in the number of refugees—representatives of the “Russian world,” human rights activists say.
