Second false bomb threat in Court of Justice is reported in less than 24 hours

The president of the Court said that he will request a meeting with the main security authorities due to recurring events.

The hearings scheduled for the morning of this Tuesday, December 14, at the El Oro Court of Justice were temporarily interrupted by a new firefighter alert reported on that site.

For this reason, the facilities of this building were evacuated by officials and citizens who were inside the premises, around 09:30.

This is the second emergency reported in less than 24 hours. Yesterday there was another bomb threat that was dismissed after an hour.

Today, a group of police officers conducted a search again inside the judicial building, located on Rocafuerte streets between Guayas and Ayacucho.

After an hour or so, the threat was also dismissed, as no dangerous device was found, and the officials returned to their offices.

Civilian traffic officers cordoned off the streets adjacent to the building to restrict vehicular traffic.

“Since October to date, five bomb threats have been reported, we are concerned because there are no results, there are no detainees and we believe that the authorities must do something to locate those responsible,” said attorney Richard Benítez, who was participating in a hearing. that was discontinued.
